THURSDAY MAY 27th AT 7PM ADT
Post-Secondary Night: Panel and Q&A
Thinking about pursuing a future in theatre? Want to learn more about your post-secondary options in theatre?
Join the DramaFest Team and our post-secondary sponsors for our Post-Secondary Night! The event will be approximately an hour and a half long.
This year has been incredibly challenging for students, with no career fairs or opportunities to speak face-to-face with representatives from post-secondary institutions. We know how difficult it must be to feel confident and comfortable making important decisions about your future – like where to study after graduation, or whether to continue your studies at all!
DramaFest is here to help! On May 27th at 7pm ADT, we will be hosting Post-Secondary Night via Zoom. During the first part of the event, you get to hear from a panel of professional theatre-makers from Nova Scotia/Mi’kma’ki who pursued theatre at the post-secondary level. Then, we will split up into different “rooms” and you will have the opportunity to talk to representatives from post-secondary theatre programs across the country! This is a night where you can get your questions answered and feel inspired by your post-secondary options – whether you are graduating this year or next year, or the year after that!
We are also offering a special prize to a student in Nova Scotia who attends the event! During the event, we will randomly choose a student at Post-Secondary Night to win a free application to a school of their choice – any school in Canada, any program! That’s right! Theatre Nova Scotia will pay your application fee to a school of your choice! So make sure you book that night off so you can learn more about your post-secondary options and get inspired by theatre at the post-secondary level.
Registration is open to high school students across Canada. You must be registered in order to attend the event.
To participate in this event, you will need a device and internet access on the evening of May 27th at 7pm AST.
